General : Sigma involved in renovation of award-winning Halle Cultural Arts Center
The Halle Cultural Arts Center in Apex, NC was the winner of the 2008 Merit Award for Excellence and Design, Preservation/Renovation from AIA Triangle, as well as the 2008 Anthemion Award from the Capital Area Preservation, Inc.
General : Sigma part of design team for Guilford County Schools projects
After completion of the extensive site work necessary to prepare the building site, the walls are going up and the roof is installed at the brand new Jamestown Middle School in Guilford County. In the near future, students will enjoy this beautiful school designed by SchenkelShultz and Sigma.
Sigma and SchenkelShultz are also the design team for the additions and renovations to Southeast Middle and Southeast High Schools in Guilford County. The two projects are funded by a bond passed by Guilford County citizens and construction is estimated at $35 million.
General : Sigma selected for renovations at Reedy Creek Laboratories
Sigma has been selected to provide systems design for renovations at the DENR-Division of Water Quality, Reedy Creek Laboratories in Raleigh, NC. This is a 30,000 SF existing facility with multiple labs and approximately 45 fume hoods. Replacement of the chiller and air handling units are planned. Building pressurization control is at the top of the list.
General : Sigma involved in renovation of Playmakers Theater
Smith Hall /Playmakers Theater holds significance through both design and association; and is one of two National Historic Landmarks on the Chapel Hill Campus.
